April 13. Went to bed early last night and got up a bit late this morning. Listened to lotu from the bedroom while I was eating my breakfast. It was late by the time I got my breakfast, and I was already starting to get a migraine headache.
Amos preached again this morning. He spoke on I Peter 3:7 and encouraged the men to dwell with their wives according to knowledge.
The ladies left right away after lotu this morning, but Phinehas and Wiru offered to sweep the meeting room floor. Daddy went and started the generator, and we did laundry. I put granola in the oven to cook while the laundry was going. By the time laundry was done and hung out, I was in need of sitting down. I sat most of the rest of the morning and finished up this coming week’s lesson plans for school. Then I got up and cleaned the bathroom before getting lunch on the table. We were thankful for the sunshine this morning and a little wind, too, to dry the clothes.
After lunch, Daddy went out and got in the clothes while I cleaned up the table, put away the granola I had made, and put clean sheets on the bed. I was already lying down for nap when Daddy came back in with the clothes.
Tony finished cutting the grass this morning and Severah did raking.
It was quite cool and rainy after nap so Daddy started the fire in the wood stove. He swept the floor for me too. I took the computer into the bedroom so I could sit in the recliner while finishing up the soul-winning lesson. That needs to be printed out tonight so it will be ready for tomorrow evening.
Then the computer needed to be powered (charged) up so I brought it back out here and connected it to the inverter. Put a pot of rice and soup beans on to cook and husked the corn that somebody brought yesterday. While the rice was cooking, I got the soul-winning lesson copied over to the students’ file, put blanks where they will be filling in words, and put a couple pictures in it.
It was about 5:30 before we sat down to eat supper. I started the dishes and then Daddy finished them for me while I printed out the soul-winning lesson for him to proofread. Then I cut up a popo and put some on to cook to go on my pancakes in the morning.
It has been raining pretty steadily this evening.
