“19And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high. 20And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” (II Chronicles 20:19,20)
These verses begin the exciting part of this chapter. “…praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.” Praise the LORD that He is in control of all that is going on in the situation there in Owena. Praise the LORD that He is doing the work and fighting the battle. Praise the LORD for who He is. Praise the LORD that He will bring the victory. These verses mark the beginning of the praise of the Levites. They mark the beginning of the victory for Jehoshaphat and his people. And they give encouragement that God is going to bring the victory to His people today.
Also, these verses contain a promise of good things to come. “Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.”
Victory comes from praising the LORD in the difficult situations. Happiness and prosperity come from believing in the LORD our God and in His prophets (and preachers and teachers of the Word). Please praise the LORD with us and with Dad and Mom. And please believe in the LORD our God, along with Dad and Mom, that He loves them and is with them and is working all these things out for His glory. Through Him, victory is sure to come. Praise the LORD!
