May 26. The Lord gave us a very beautiful day today. When Daddy and I went out for our walk this morning a little before 10:00, it felt very warm and humid. I expected that we would get rain, but things turned around this afternoon.
Daddy didn’t get me up this morning since there was no school, and I didn’t wake up until going on 6:30. Had my morning drink. Warmed up pancakes for our breakfast and fixed Daddy his eggs. Ate and had quiet time.
Daddy turned on the generator for a while, and I got more math lessons scanned. Afterward we went for our walk. When we came back, I got the plastic bags folded that Daddy had brought back from town. Put them away and also all the empty boxes that had had cargo in them. Swept the bedroom floor. Then worked on the next Bible lesson for school until dinner time.
After nap, I dusted off all the windows in the meeting room to get them ready for washing. Lots of dirt collects on the windows from all the traffic (people traffic, that is) that goes by and all the dust that the winds stir up. If I wash them like that, the rags will get dirty too quickly, and the window wash will just smear the dirt around.
Time to sit down after that, so worked on organizing the next Bible school lesson. Then I got the school area set up for the sale this afternoon, and Daddy helped me put out the sale items. Mike, Bethuel, and Tania were supposed to be in charge. Mike came first and little Lawrence with him. Daddy and I helped for a while. After a while, Bonita came along with her mother to buy some things so I asked her if she would like to help Mike since the other two hadn’t showed up yet. She was happy to do that, and I was glad she did as Bethuel didn’t come until almost 4:00. He had a bad headache too and later asked for some aspirin.
Not very many people came to buy today, but they probably wanted to keep working in their gardens while the weather was so nice. They did about K50 worth of sales today. Just before supper I made some fresh biscuits. Still had enough left for my supper tonight, but tomorrow will probably be a very busy day so wanted to get them made while I had plenty of time.
Somewhere around 5:30, Mike and Bethuel put things away and set up the room for school tomorrow.
Wilson is here now for Bible school.

May 27. A lot of clouds today, but one could probably count the number of rainsdrops that fell. Otherwise it was another very warm day.
Woke up about 5:45 this morning. It was already getting light out. So I got up a little earlier than usual. After breakfast and quiet time, I got all the pasteovers cut and ready to glue into the math books. I was glad that I got them cut this morning because it took a long time to glue all of them into their books this afternoon.
It was good to get back to school today. We had a busy day since we did Monday classes today. Right after school, the kids got things set up for their sale. Sosthenes, Graham, and Bonita were in charge today. After they got everything set up, Daddy and I went and had a little nap.
After nap, I finished today’s grading, got things together for tomorrow, and glued on all the pasteovers. Then it was time to put away all the sale items and get the room ready for Bible school this evening and lotu in the morning. And then have our supper.
SIL came in several times today and took out coffee. The pilot came down to the house for a cup of coffee while he was waiting for people to get their coffee ready to load onto the plane. Daddy was his host as I was in school. I did take a few minutes out to say hello while the students were doing some independent reading.
“12I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; 13And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?” Isaiah 51:12,13
