March 10. The weather has been pretty much the same every day since Daddy left — overcast and cool. There was some drizzle today too. Mostly the Lord has been sending the rain during the night. The sun peeks through now and then in the daytime to say “hello.”
It was about 8:00 when I went to bed last night — right after bath. Was ready to get up a little before 6:00 this morning. Got the fire going and breakfast warmed up. Then Tomas came down with his mobile so I could talk to Daddy. I was happy to talk to him. He won’t be able to come home until Tuesday because he hasn’t had transportation to get around town and finish the shopping.
After talking with Daddy, I finished my breakfast and had quiet time. Am trying to do some walking exercises too so my legs don’t hurt so much. A bit later, Matthew came by with some questions about something he was going to be preaching on.
Can’t remember what else I did until church time. It was already 10:30 before lotu started. Amos looked after the song service. I was feeling tired just about time for preaching to start, but was hungry too as I had had an early breakfast. So I went inside and warmed up my dinner (it was about 11:30). Then I lay down for my nap. I heard most of Matthew’s message while I was eating. He preached on The Works of the Flesh in Galatians 5.
I don’t know what time it was when they started the second meeting, but heard Tomas preaching on justification in Romans 4. He seemed to be doing a pretty good job.
“If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.” John 7:17
March 11. Same weather pattern today as we’ve been having. It has been almost a week since we have seen blue sky, except for a patch here and there, usually in the afternoon. There is a cold wind blowing again this evening.
It was a little bit later when I went to bed last night — 8:30. Was up alittle before 6:00 this morning. Got the fire going. Had breakfast and quiet time. Did a little walking. Got the keyboard set up for school.
When Sosthenes came for school, I asked him to bring in another box of firewood for me and put it in the wood box. Then we started school. Reviewed the Bible lesson and music lesson and then they took their test. It is the last test of the term. Tomorrow and Thursday we will practice music. No new lesson until next term.
NTM came while we were having phonics class. Brought the drum of diesel, the LP, and a few other pieces of cargo. I didn't know they were going to bring cargo too. Didn’t really feel like handling it during the middle of school hours so asked the carriers if they would come back tomorrow and get their wages.
Right after school, I warmed up my lunch, ate, and went for nap. Only slept about 45 minutes. That seemed to be enough. When I got up the sun was shining. It was rather windy, but I did so want to get out in the sun. I asked the Lord if He would calm the winds down for a little bit, and He did. Thank you, Lord. Went out and walked around for about 10 minutes. Then came in and washed my hair and washed out a few items of clothing I will need the next couple days before we do laundry again.
Then it was time to sit down a while. The rest of the papers that needed to be graded were taken into the bedroom, along with a red pen, a pencil, the calculator, stickers, and the record book. Sat in the recliner, and finished up the grading. Then got things ready for school tomorrow.
A man from Waisara came with a small bunch of ripe bananas. I was thankful for some fresh bananas. Had a little bit of cooked popo left over so cut up a banana in it to eat with my supper.
Right after supper, I got the dishes done. Then relaxed in the recliner for a bit again and crocheted until it got too dark. Put water on to heat for my bath; and while it was heating, I refilled the big tea kettle and the big soup kettle with water.
Bath is done, and it is time to relax at the computer for a little while.
